The first Women in Energy Industry Round Table was held on April 9, 2025, at the Yanbei Panlong Gas Plant Block 113-133 Collaboration Project. Led by SLB, SCP and Yanchang, this landmark event aimed to promote inclusivity and empower women within the energy sector.

    This dynamic platform brought together women from various backgrounds in the energy industry to share their stories, insights, and experiences. The focus was on addressing the unique challenges and opportunities faced by women, providing attendees with valuable advice and diverse perspectives.

    The discussion was dedicated to closing the gender balance gap and creating a diverse, welcoming environment for all employees. This event marked a transformative movement towards empowering diversity and inclusion in the energy industry.

    The session highlighted the increasing presence of women in key positions within the oil and gas sector, traditionally dominated by men. It was an enlightening event that offered attendees an array of advice, perspectives, and discussions on navigating the industry.

    The distinguished panelists included Zhang Hongmei, Senior Deputy Chief of Integrated Management Department from Yanchang; Li Xun, SCP Executive Vice General Manager; Cui Jining, SLB/SCP Co-Project Manager; Cynthia Zhu, SLB/SCP Finance Deputy Manager; Li Yan Shuang, SCP Well Delivery Junior Engineer; and Zhang Xiao Fei, SCP Safety Engineer. Supporting by Dayana Serrano, SLB/SCP Digital Production Manager, and Liu Yan, SCP Communication and Control Document Specialist as moderators.

    The audience comprised representatives from various departments of Yanchang, SCP, and SLB, such us Well Delivery, QHSE, HR, Legal and Operations who contributed valuable questions and insights.

    The Women in Energy Industry Initiative promises to be a landmark event, fostering dialogue, sharing experiences, and promoting gender inclusivity in the energy sector. All employees, regardless of gender, are encouraged to participate and contribute to this transformative discussion.
